Boring errands and getting out of the house.

Here is a strategy that came up in one of my coaching sessions this week. If you need to run and errand outside of the house but you are having trouble motivating yourself to get out and do it, try attaching something fun to said boring errand. For example getting lunch with a friend at a place you have always wanted to try, stopping in at a bookstore on your way home, stopping in at a bakery near by and picking up some local fresh bread for you to enjoy for the rest of the week, dropping in for a yoga class that is down the street from the boring thing. The more you can add novelty, and interest to a boring task the more motivating it will be for you.
